StillAsleep ("the App") is developed and operated by an independent developer. This policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, and your rights.
Your sleep data never leaves your phone. Your sleep history, screen on/off log, and sensor readings are processed and stored entirely on your device and are never transmitted to us or to anyone else.
The App collects a small set of anonymous usage statistics (described below) so we can see which features work reliably across different phone models. They contain no personal information and nothing from your sleep record.
The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase (a service of Google LLC) to count feature-usage events — for example, that an automatic screen-off fired or that a permission was granted. Alongside each event, Google's SDK records general device information: device model, operating-system version, country, app version, and a randomly generated app-instance identifier.

To show your sleep record, the App keeps a log of screen on/off times and the nightly sleep sessions derived from them. This stays only on your device, is never transmitted or shared, and you can erase it at any time by clearing the App's data in your phone's settings.
The App reads your device's motion sensor to detect whether the device is at rest. Sensor readings are processed in real time and are never recorded, stored, or sent off-device.
No camera, microphone, location, or contacts permissions are requested. Internet access is used only by Google Play's billing service to process purchases and to send the anonymous usage statistics described above.
The App contains no advertising or ad-tracking SDKs. The only third-party service is Google Analytics for Firebase, used solely for the anonymous usage statistics described above, with Advertising-ID collection disabled.
StillAsleep offers an optional one-time in-app purchase (Pro) that unlocks unlimited always-on automatic use and your full sleep history. The purchase is processed entirely through Google Play's billing system. Payment information (card number, billing address, etc.) is handled by Google Play; we never see or store it.
We do not sell or share your data. The anonymous usage statistics are processed by Google on our behalf as a service provider; no other party receives any data.
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
If we update this policy, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
